AUDITS AIN’T ALL BAD 😅

I recently helped a client with his social media strategy. He has a solid plan and posts regularly. However, he was disappointed with low engagement and conversions from his audience.

During my audit of his social media content, I quickly identified a key issue that could greatly improve his results.

As I went through his feeds, one thing stood out like a sore thumb: his content was all the SAME — educational. There was nothing inspiring, nothing entertaining, nothing relatable, just information.

So I suggested that he diversify his content into four different categories over the next month to ensure he connects with all types of people in his audience.

To his delight (and not surprisingly to me), he's already seeing increased engagement and conversions—yahoo!

In part 1 of our “Social Media Strategy” series, we focused on Pillars. Part 2 focused on Platforms.

Today in Part 3, I want to share these four types of posts you should also consider creating:

  1. EDUCATIONAL 🧑‍🏫

Educational content is essential on social media. It provides valuable information and insights to your audience, building your credibility and positioning you as an authority in your field.

Why Educational Content Works:

Satisfies Curiosity: People use social media to learn and explore. Educational content answers questions and provides valuable takeaways.

Establishes Authority: Sharing accurate, well-researched information showcases your expertise and can increase your followers and engagement.

Encourages Engagement: Educational posts spark discussions and invite your audience to share their thoughts and questions, boosting your social media presence and fostering a sense of community.

  1. ENTERTAINING 🎞️

In the fast-paced world of social media, capturing and keeping your audience’s attention can be tough. Entertaining content provides a refreshing break and keeps your audience engaged.

Why Entertaining Content Works:

Combat Information Overload: Amid the flood of information on social media, entertaining content stands out and grabs attention.

Enhance Engagement: Entertaining content often gets more likes, shares, comments, and clicks, encouraging interaction.

Boost Brand Recall: Fun and memorable content improves brand recall. When your audience associates positive emotions with your brand, they're more likely to remember you.

  1. INSPIRATIONAL 🥹

Inspirational content deeply connects with your audience by tapping into their aspirations and emotions, leaving them feeling inspired and motivated.

Why Inspirational Content Works:

Emotional Impact: Inspirational content triggers feelings of joy, empathy, and determination, making it memorable and engaging.

Shares and Reach: Such content often gets shared widely, potentially going viral and reaching a broader audience.

Brand Identity: By sharing inspirational content that aligns with your brand values, you strengthen your brand identity and attract like-minded followers.

  1. RELATABLE 💁‍♀️

“Anyone else have this happen to them?” Relatable content resonates with everyday life, challenges, or interests, making it easy for your audience to connect, engage, and relate to you.

Why Relatable Content Works:

Connection: Relatable content resonates with people's experiences, making them feel understood and connected.

Engagement: People are more likely to interact with and share content they relate to, boosting engagement.

Authenticity: Relatable content shows your brand understands its audience, building trust and loyalty.
