Spotify’s Wrapped campaign is a brilliant example of personalized marketing. Each year I’m so impressed by this tactic. Spotify takes each user’s listening data and turns it into a fun, colorful year-in-review that feels personal and exciting to share. You probably have been bombarded in the past 24 hours by friends sharing their lists … and I’m ok with it.
By encouraging users to post their results on social media, Spotify creates massive buzz and free promotion. It’s a smart way to celebrate its listeners, show off its platform, and keep people coming back year after year. Wrapped turns data into connection and makes everyone feel part of a bigger music-loving community. So smart. Why don’t I do that??? Maybe I will.
