Be THIS and Win 🏆

TBH

I just spent the past two days out of state coaching early-stage entrepreneurs who are working hard to establish their brands and grow their businesses. We dug deep into their goals and strategies for a successful 2025.

One key takeaway stood out, and it surprised many of them: BE HONEST.

Be honest about where you are right now - mentally, emotionally, socially, financially, and physically - don’t sugarcoat it or paint a picture that isn’t true. You don’t need to impress anyone. Instead, admit where you’re struggling and seek help and direction.

Honesty and transparency are the foundation for real growth, both personally and professionally. That’s how businesses, and the people behind them, thrive.

When you acknowledge your insecurities and shortcomings, it frees you to move forward authentically and confidently. Here are 3 ways to ask for help and make progress in your business before the year ends:

1. Be Specific About Your Needs

Figure out where you’re stuck - marketing, finances, or operations. The clearer you are about your challenges, the more useful the help will be. Honest.

2. Reach Out to Your Network

Reach out to mentors, colleagues, or peers (like your Five Words In network!). Share your challenges openly and ask for advice, you’ll likely get more help than you ever imagined. Honest.

3. Invest in Expert Guidance

Hire a coach, attend a workshop, or take a course. A few of you have told me you've already committed to this lately, kudos! Fresh advice can help you tackle challenges and start the new year strong. Honest.

Remember, growth happens when you stop hiding and start asking. The support you need is often closer than you think. I’m here for you and with you! ~ Brent
