Sweden is running a “NOT Switzerland” campaign, and I like it.

Sweden’s tourist board has decided it is time to make it clear that the nation is not, in fact, the same country as Switzerland.

According to Visit Sweden, the two countries are constantly being mixed up. A study they conducted in the US found that half of the respondents were not sure if there was a difference between the two nations.

The Swedish Tourist Board reports that 120,000 people ask Google every year if Sweden and Switzerland are the same country. 😧

And they have had enough.

To combat the confusion, to help potential visitors get CLARITY, the board has launched a new campaign highlighting the best Sweden has to offer. Smart.

Perhaps it’s time you launch a new campaign highlighting the best YOU have to offer!
