A Blueprint for Focused Action 👷‍♀️

If you’re an entrepreneur, creator, or business owner, you know the struggle of a never-ending to-do list, social media posts, website tweaks, colors, and branding. While these can be interesting and certainly necessary, they often pull you away from what’s most important: getting your next paying customer.

MO FOCUS, MO MONEY

Here’s a simple plan I put together to help you focus on what matters most: reaching one new customer at a time and making money. Ok here we go…

1. Know Your Ideal Customer 🔍

Define who would benefit most from your product or service. Name someone. Think about their needs, problems, and where they spend time online. Knowing this helps you speak directly to them.

2. Create a Simple Offer 🏷️

Avoid giving too many options. I’m already overwhelmed, don’t add to it. Make a clear, attractive offer that solves a specific problem. Show exactly what they’ll get and why it’s valuable.

3. Pick One Outreach Method 🎯

Focus on one (yes, pick ONE) way to reach your ideal customer, like:

  • Personal Outreach: Send direct messages, emails, or make calls.

  • Networking: Attend industry events (online or in-person) to meet new people.

  • Partnerships: Team up with businesses that complement yours and can introduce you to clients.

4. Track and Improve 📊

Notice what works best. Evaluation is the breakfast of champions. Did certain messages get better responses? Keep track and adjust your approach as needed to improve your results.

5. Provide Great Value 🥇

Once you have a customer, impress them! Apple’s goal is to “surprise and delight” its customers (seems to be working for them). Go beyond your customer’s expectations and create an experience that makes them want to return and refer you to others.

Final Thought

Growing a business takes focus. I lose mine from time to time and need our weekly meetups to keep me centered on what really matters. Don’t let branding, busy work or social media distract you from your main goal: getting customers, serving them well, and building income.
