My post below struck a nerve yesterday. I’ve got the DMs to prove it.
One thing I’ve learned over my 20+ years of creating and entrepreneuring, is that success isn't microwavable. And honestly, it shouldn't be. Given the choice, I'll always opt for what's brewing in your creator crockpot, any day of the week, and twice on Sundays.
Serving up a thriving business consists of two main ingredients:
1 part Perseverance
1 part Patience
I often state it as:
Grit + Grace = I Like Your Chances
If you demonstrate Grit, you have a chance to pull it off. Push through. Go around. Try again. Be curious. Learn daily. Try again. Try again. Try again.
If you grant yourself Grace, you have a chance to see it through. Take your time. Find your rhythm. Enjoy the journey. Take a breath. Take a break. Take your time.
Over the years, I've observed and studied countless entrepreneurs and business owners. Without fail, every single one I've encountered has demonstrated incredible grit. Equally, each one has shown remarkable grace.
The formula works. Follow it, and be amazed by what you can accomplish.
