🤑 The Wealthiest Person in the Room

Why Not You?

YOU’VE BEEN LIED TO

For as long as I can remember, "wealth" has referred to the monetary value of an individual's assets—cash, savings, investments, and property. If you had more than most, you were deemed wealthy.

I consider myself wealthy. If you chatted with me at a dinner party, you'd sense that I had life by the tail and might try to follow the paper trail to my monetary assets. This would leave you bewildered, especially if you actually followed me home.

Let me explain…

the house that built me

THE RICHEST FAMILY IN TOWN

This past week, I was interviewed on a show where I shared my story of growing up in a home with little money, yet feeling like we were the richest family in town.

Surrounded by loving parents and four older siblings, even as a young teen, I understood that peace, joy, and love were the true measures of richness and wealth, far beyond mere money.

Now, as an adult and entrepreneur, I view wealth through an entirely different lens than most. If you come to my home, you’ll notice that it’s simple and small and spectacular. You’ll see just one ordinary car in the garage, but it gets me from here to there every time.

When I talk about being wealthy, my mind goes straight to these five areas:

  • Time Wealth

  • Social Wealth

  • Mental Wealth

  • Physical Wealth

  • Financial Wealth

I often share my perspective on the importance of being a healthy entrepreneur. I challenge and encourage our Five Words In members and audiences everywhere to think about success, health, and wealth differently than they might be accustomed to.

But, I’ve never written a book about these five areas. Now someone has.

Sahil Bloom, author of “The 5 Types of Wealth”

I've followed Sahil Bloom for a while now. He's a brilliant entrepreneur and content creator—athletic, handsome, ripped, and joyful. Almost annoyingly so.

He has a new book coming out titled "The 5 Types of Wealth," which I'm certain to read. It's described as “A new way to measure what matters, make better decisions, and design your life around the pillars that truly create lasting joy and fulfillment.” Those pillars are Time, Social, Mental, Physical, and Financial wealth.

On this entrepreneurial journey, it's tempting and easy to get fixated on building a financially successful business. I get that. And I actually WANT you to focus on making more money—but not at the expense of the other four areas.

Starting next week, I'll unpack each of these areas, one by one, week by week, to provide pathways and resources to help you become a well-rounded, healthy, and wealthy entrepreneur and business owner.

When you are wealthy, the world becomes rich. Let’s do this!
