Sweden is running a bold new campaign called "NOT Switzerland" -- and I’m here for it. (tomorrow, we’re diving into your “NOT like the others” campaign possibilities, link below)
The Swedish tourist board has decided it’s time to set the record straight: Sweden and Switzerland are not the same country.
According to Visit Sweden, the mix-up is surprisingly common. In a recent US study, half of the respondents couldn’t confidently say whether the two countries were different. Even more shocking, Google gets 120,000 searches a year from people wondering if Sweden and Switzerland are the same place. 😧
Fed up with the confusion, Sweden has taken action. They’ve launched a clever campaign to showcase the country’s unique identity and help people gain some much-needed clarity. Smart move.
Maybe it’s time you launched your own campaign, one that clearly highlights the best you have to offer!
