Real Talk from the Trenches

It has never been easier to start a business. Think about it.
Before, starting a business meant:
Renting an expensive storefront
Only reaching local customers
Advertising in newspapers
Printing and distributing flyers
Facing huge startup costs
Getting a formal education
Now, you can:
Set up an online store from home
Sell to customers worldwide
Run Facebook ads targeting your ideal audience
Learn everything you need for free on YouTube
Go viral with posts on Instagram and TikTok
Build your own website easily with Shopify
But, let’s be honest. It might be simple, but that doesn’t mean it’s easy.

The pandemic forced people to stay home, giving them time to reflect and dream. As a result, there was a wave of people who became tired of working for someone else and decided to start their own businesses.
The competition is fierce and constant. I always tell my clients (and anyone willing to listen) that you don’t necessarily need to be better, you need to be different. Standing out is key.
That being said, what sets you apart in your business? Is it your pricing, unique offerings, or a specific sub-niche you focus on? What makes customers choose you over others?
In other words, if I asked, "Why should I choose to do business with you instead of her?", what would you say? What are the unique qualities or benefits you offer that make you the better choice?
Trust me you ARE unique … each of us is. Maybe it’s time you tap into and promote your USP, or your Unique Selling Proposition.
OK, IT’S YOUR TURN
What would you say your USP (what makes your business or product different and better than the competition) is? Share it with me! I’d love to give you my opinion and perspective to help you ensure you stand out.
