YOUR MOST IMPORTANT LIST 📋

I grew up watching “Late Nite with David Letterman” in the early 80’s. Each evening, Letterman would share a humorous Top Ten List such as:

• “Top Ten Animals Left Off the Ark”

• “Top Ten Words that Almost Rhyme with Peas”

• “Top Ten Things that Sound Cool When Said by Snoop Dogg”

In all, he presented 4,605 Top Ten Lists during his time as a late night talk show host. Dang!

There’s an even more intriguing list I want you to consider.

KNOW✔️ LIKE✔️ TRUST✔️

Marketing expert and author Bob Burg coined the “Know Like Trust” phrase in his book, Endless Referrals. It goes like this: “All things being equal, people will do business with, and refer business to, those people they know, like, and trust.”

And there you have it. YOUR list. Each of you has a Top Ten list of people who KNOW you, LIKE you, and TRUST you … trust me.

As you are dreaming, developing and growing your business, jot down 10 people that fit in this category of #KLT. After you have compiled your list, create a text/email/DM that you can personally send to each:

• Introducing or reminding them of your project/passion/business

• Offering them the opportunity to buy what you are selling

• Asking them for any referrals/connections that would benefit both sides

• Inviting them to share a specific social media post to their followers

Take a deep breath, and craft the message. I know it can feel scary or intrusive … but that’s all in your head. The people on your list want you to win!
