The secret to finding new customers and clients? Lip service. 🗣
My friend, business colleague and extraordinary communicator, Pat Quinn, states this: One of the easiest and most reliable ways to build anything – a business, a movement, or a ministry - is through speaking on stages.
“Umm ya, so Brent … do you have any other friends who might have a different, less-scary approach to finding customers and growing my business?” Nope. Because I agree and do this to grow my own businesses.
Don’t get me wrong, I believe publishing social media posts and sending newsletters are good things. Pinning your business card to a cork board display at the local grocery store is totally fine. Belonging to a local Chamber of Commerce can be helpful.
But, the BEST strategy to get your word out … just might literally be getting your words out. Speaking helps you create awareness, gain credibility and attract new leads.

You just need to know what to say, how to say it, where to say it and what to offer. Haha, sounds even more scary now? Don’t worry. Consider me your nookie blankie.
