WANTED NEEDED: A BIGGER BOAT ⛴

Upon sharing a certain level of frustration regarding a project my son and I were tackling, his response was “Dad, I think we’re gonna need a bigger boat.”

I knew he was right, but it was not what I wanted to hear. (I would have grounded him if he wasn’t 30 yrs. old, married and living in another city)

Most often for me, “bigger boat” is code for “more time”. Ugh. ⏳

Though my tendency is to microwave solutions to problems and opportunities, I’m learning that “more time” doesn’t necessarily reflect poorly on me. Nor you.

“IT’S NOT YOU, IT’S ME BUSINESS” 🤷‍♀️

Just because it feels like you're currently crossing an ocean when you thought it was a river, it doesn’t mean you won’t get to the other side. It just might take some extra time before you hit dry land. But, when you do … paradise. 🏝

I mean, when’s the last time you heard someone say:

• “I lost that weight so quickly!”

• “Our house project took way less time than planned.”

• “Just where did that mountain of debt go?”

• “I told my child “No”, and he’s never asked, again.”

• “My husband and I rekindled the flame overnight.” (careful…)

Life takes time, it’s ok. Building your business, project, course, practice takes time … and is probably taking a bit longer than you had anticipated. It’s ok. Just keep paddling, you’ll get there … and I’ll be cheering you on every step of the way! 🚣‍♀️
