YOU CAN’T WON’T WIN ‘EM ALL

Every social media post isn’t a win. Every sales pitch isn’t a win. Every business decision or prediction isn’t a win. Heck, every newsletter piece (gulp) isn’t a win.

Once you understand this, you’ll be unstoppable. 😤

AN AVERAGE SEASON

The Kansas City Chiefs finished the regular season with 11 wins and 6 losses. Average. Their home record was 5-4 … below average.

But no one remembers or talks about their regular season record anymore. Why? Because people don’t care about the past, they care about the here and now and what’s to come.

REMINDER: Windshield (BIG), Rearview Mirror (small)

What the Chiefs DID do during their regular season was learn … not lose. They took away nuggets from each game and used what they learned to advance in the playoffs and claim their 4th Super Bowl championship.

What did you “learn” from your latest social media efforts? Your most recent networking event or collaboration? How about last week’s webinar or Zoom meeting? What insights did you glean from Q1 and how are you making changes for a better Q2?

Don’t focus on the losses, focus on the learning.

GET OUT OF YOUR OWN WAY

Don’t overthink and analyze everything to death. Learn and move on. Just like Mike:

You don’t need to be PERFECT.

You just need to be PERSISTENT.

Michael could have stopped after missing 5,000 shots. He could have retired after losing 200 games or after failing to hit the winning shot in his 15th opportunity.

But, he did’t. He just learned, moved on and succeeded.
